CAORLE: THE HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER IN ALL SEAS

Imagine a beach of soft golden sand as far as the eye can see, caressed by the clear sea water with a gently sloping seabed. Think of a historic centre that offers surprises at every step, a postcard with pastel-coloured houses, calli and campielli (streets and squares in Venetian dialect), where you can immerse yourself in a family-friendly, funny and relaxed atmosphere, and feel at home.

And then the lagoon, of a heart-breaking beauty, where nature meets the traditional "casoni" (houses) of the fishermen and the panoramas leave you speechless, especially at sunset.

A dream? No, reality: welcome to Caorle, the "little Venice" full of traditions, stories and flavours for a holiday that will become part of your best memories.

Living caorle?

It is one of the beach towns of the Upper Adriatic most appreciated by couples and families and can offer enjoyment opportunities for all tastes: from those who love to relax in the sun and dive into crystal clear waters, to sports enthusiasts, to gourmets, up to hiking and wonderful bike rides.

After a day on the beach or discovering the Caorle lagoon and its surroundings, there are a lot of events and places to spend the evening in joy, perhaps tasting the delicious typical dishes.

A blue and golden dream

The beaches, east and west of the centre, are the flagship of Caorle, clean and equipped, ideal for the children who can dive and play in complete safety.

Spiaggia di Levante (sunrise beach) and Spiaggia di Ponente (sunset beach) are two wide beaches of very fine sand, with equipped establishments and free areas: joining them is the ScoglieraViva (living rocks) seafront promenade, an original open-air museum with the rocks decorated by the sculptors who participate in the competition which is held every two years.

Continuing the walk, the modern Lungomare Trieste is the lively pedestrian avenue frequented by people of all ages who move on foot, by scooter or by bike.

Laguna, place of the heart

Caorle is the perfect destination for beach life, always linked to its sea, among the cleanest in Italy and, every year, awarded the Blue Flag (cleanest beaches of Italy).

The charm of water is then revealed in the rivers and canals that give life to the protected naturalistic area of the Laguna: you can admire it by following the cycle/pedestrian itinerary that starts from the city centre or, for an even more exciting experience, take part in a trip by boat.

The historical center: a jewel

Cheerful hours await you between diving, games, sports and entertainment, but not only.

A visit to the historic centre with a Venetian style will be a pleasant surprise: the ancient Cathedral of Santo Stefano overlooks Piazza Vescovado with its leaning bell tower, while a step away the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Angelo rises on the small promontory, almost "suspended on the waves ", precious symbols of the town.

The fragments and voices of everyday life, the scents, the flavours, the fishing nets hung out to dry in the sun, the artisan shops, the narrow streets…all this will seduce you.
